halloween a little late

i know, i know, it's been almost a month since halloween but i wanted to you all some photos from a very fun party hosted by my friend donna (aka gilly).

i dressed up as mary poppins.  i hit the jackpot at some thrift stores and ended up paying no more than $15 for my entire costume!  my friend peter dressed up as bert musically talented and hilarious chimney sweeper!

i had a beautiful night last night with some friends at artprize downtown grand rapids.  even though it was a little cold, we enjoyed all of the art and each others company of course.

bridal shower!

two of my dear friends, liz and travis, are getting married!  i am so excited and happy for them!  in proper wedding fashion, we threw a shower for liz! the girls from my college bible study/young adult small group (we don't really have an official name) got together and planned a church shower for liz.  (girls, you are so awesome!)

i'm so blessed to have liz (and travis) in my life.  i've known both of them for a few years now.  we've shared laughs, tears, and life together.  they are just such a wonderful testimony to God's love and providence.  i truly cannot wait to see where the Lord takes them :)

weekend fun

this weekend was pack full of fun.  friday -girls night, sat- craft day/drive in.  thankfully i have today (sunday) to relax and rest a bit until heading back to work tomorrow.

i've had such an exhausting week.  event after event, early morning after early morning, i haven't had much rest in the last week, but boy did i have fun.  i spent friday morning giggling and gut laughing with my dad.  whenever we spend time together, we always have fun!  

that night i went to a camping-in-the-back-yard night with some friends.  there was food, fire, and frustration ;) (thankfully i didn't volunteer to put up the tent).  

then saturday night a few close friends and i celebrated a few of our birthdays that fall within three weeks of each other.  we made homemade pizzas (yum!), and then went to see new batman movie.  that was my second time seeing it, and it was still amazing.

sunday night, as a family, we celebrated my aunts 50th birthday.  i hope to look as half as good as she does at 50.  she is such beautiful person: inside and out!

so, it's late sunday night and i am so tired, but i when i hop in bed, ill be so happy with all of the wonderful memories made this weekend.
